Join members of the Minnesota Society of Professional Journalists, the Online News Association-Twin Cities, and the Asian American Journalists’ Association-Minnesota Chapter for a “happy hour” meetup on Thursday, May 17th at Republic, located in the Seven Corners neighborhood on the University of Minnesota’s West Bank.
Our special guest will be Kevin Schaul, a University of Minnesota journalism and computer science major and winner of a $20,000 scholarship from Google and the Associated Press. The AP-Google Journalism and Technology Scholarship Program is aimed at fostering new skills at the intersection of journalism and technology. Schaul is one of six inaugural Scholars selected in 2012.
