Madison SPJ chapter to co-host religion reporting conference

The Madison, Wis., SPJ chapter is co-sponsoring a reporting on religion conference March 14, 2016, in Madison.

The one-day event will feature journalists and scholars who will help participants gain a deeper understanding of the role religion plays in public life and how religion is represented – or not – in the news media.  Besides SPJ, sponsors include the Lubar Institute for the Study of the Abrahamic Religions at the University of Wisconsin-Madison; the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Journalism; and the Stephen & Laurel Brown Foundation.

TV journalist David Gregory, the author of How’s Your Faith? An Unlikely Spiritual Journey and the former moderator of Meet the Press, will give the keynote address.
