Q:Â Do you prefer original clips and tearsheets, or photocopies for newspaper entries?
A: SPJ prefers original clips or tearsheets, especially for certain categories such as layout and photojournalism. But we understand it’s sometimes difficult to keep tabs on originals over time. Copies are fine as long as they are as readable as the originals and accurately portray the layout and context of the piece.
