2022 Page One Awards — Now Accepting Entries!

The Minnesota Professional Chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists (MNSPJ) recognizes the best in Minnesota journalism each year with the annual Page One Awards.

Contest entries can be submitted between now and Tuesday, Feb. 15, at 12 noon. Finalists will be notified in the spring.

We have eliminated a few categories this year due to a lack of entries in past contests. We’ve added categories in the radio division for Podcasts and in the online division for Newsletters. Some rules have been modified, so please read the complete listing of Contest Rules and Guidelines. The contest entry form again asks entrants to select their news outlet from a drop-down menu. If your news outlet is not listed, please select “Other” — the last option in the drop-down menu list — and then enter the organization’s name.

Once again, MNSPJ has elected to hold the price of a contest entry steady at $22.

Journalists working for all print, broadcast and online news outlets in Minnesota (or news outlets in neighboring states that cover Minnesota) are eligible to enter. All work published or broadcast during the 2021 calendar year is eligible.

The format for the awards ceremony will be announced later.
